Julia K Art Studio- Handmade Watercolors
In the summer of 2018 I started experimenting with making my own watercolors. I spent countless hours researching everything about binders and pigmets. Compearing different tools, materials and prices. Once I had made my first batch, of 7 halfpans, I was hooked. I loved it. The researching, testing and compairing together made something I could use to create.
Now the batches are at least ten times the size and now it’s my job. I have my workshop and office in an old rebuild stable on my parents farm. From my window I see the seasons change and majority of my insperation comes from what I see in our part of the world. The first collection was Allmoge and that was inspired by the houses I’ve grown up around. The traditional colors and recipis.
